I want to brew my own mead, and have everything except the large glass container.
So, do you need a large glass container, or is there something much much cheaper you can use?
Can you use a plastic soda bottle or will the plastic leech into the mead?

I am making a glass terrarium for my mom for Christmas and I need some advice. I am using a large enclosed glass jar and I’ve learned all about how to take care of one and what to put in one to make sure the plant survives. Now, I want to use peppermint because, not only does it have sentimental value to me and my mom, but I know of a near-by store where I can buy a small plant of it and also because I hear that it is easy to tame when it is in a terrarium and does not grow too terribly high. But now I’m wondering if there is another plant or two that I can put in there with it. I can’t find too many plants in the winter and I know this, but I have a store that is selling many herbs for pets and I know that pet stores also tend to sell small plants for lizard enclosures. What plant would go best with my peppermint terrarium? Also, I don’t have much time to make this terrarium, so please reply as soon as possible!
Alright, it’s been solved. I don’t need new answers because my peppermint-selling store had a limited amount of peppermint and I waited too long for an answer, so they ran out. I had to use some ferns and a stripey plant from a pet store instead.
So, I cleaned out all of the old wax. Because i want to reuse the jars for storage.. but it still smells i tried baking soda, didn’t work. Any other ways to remove the smell of the old candle form the glass jar?

I’m making an old family recipe alcoholic beverage that requires a large container. Does a plastic one that you would use for maybe tea or lemonade make a difference, or should I get glass?
i am trying to tile kitchen back splash in an old house. after peeling off old peeling wall paper and removing the exhaust cover i find the backer board has glue on it, and the board has cup size hole in the top corner, the exhaust fan hole is huge almost the size of the cover. what can i do to remove the glue ( could i try nail polish remover) and what can i do about these holes in backer board? could i build up with joint tape and the adhesive or grout? i was thinking luon but the stuff at store seemed 1/4 think and that would bring wall out to the window casing. and make my surface uneven.**** Also my glass tile is net backed and every jar or pre mixed adhesive says not for glass but mine has the net and the guy at store says that it is fine, and i have non sanded grout Is IT OK to use these or will tile drop off wall??????
the area is 2 1/2 by 8 ft. i read the product instructions almost all pre mixed say not for glass, i do not know why.
