I’d like the container to be large enough to scoop from. I’ve found several that I like but I’m not sure if sugar needs to be in an airtight container or just a sealed container. Opinion seems to be quite varied on that point. I’m considering the glass jars with the screw-top metal lids from Target. If anyone has any advice I’d greatly appreciate it.

Hi i am trying to make a “large clear glass jar” out of sugar that we boiled and poured into a cylindrical vase. It isnt completely cooled yet but it looks like an amber colored glass. Is the sugar burnt? If so how can I get it to not burn and still have it be at a consistency where i can pour it into the vase?
